Intrepid Crew of Manx Lads Aim to Get Around the Island on Viking Boat in Under 27 Hours
After some hold ups the Row the Rock challenge will finally get under way today, with a 15-strong crew attempting to row around the Isle of Man in a Viking long boat in under 27 hours.
All in all they'll be rowing 90 miles.
They left Peel at 1.30 this afternoon and they're now headed to Bride where they hope to be at around 9pm.
The current record of 27 hours was set back in 1995.
The attempt is the culmination of 6 months hard training for the crew of local lads have.
