Roofers have been showing off a unique message to the future written more than 70 years ago!
Staff at Oracle Roofing and Solar were working on a house in Selbourne Drive in Douglas when they found a note written in 1951.
Accompanied by a cigarette packet, the note says labourers were earning two shillings and sixpence an hour, rationing was still in force and new shoes cost £4!
Writing on the cigarette pack says they cost a shilling and ninepence for 10.
