Ronaldsway see jump in passengers from last years figures

Passengers numbers at the airport were up in March compared to last year.

A total of 1,664 more passengers passing through Ronaldsway that’s an increase of 3% compared to March 2011.

This steady growth has been the trend over recent months, and, in all, there’s an increase of 5.2% in numbers at Ronaldsway for the year so far.

Traffic to the north west of England increased by 11.5%, while flights to the south and west of the UK were up by 8,000 more passengers.

Next month sees the launch of two new routes - a daily service to London Oxford with Manx2 and a summer service to Norwich, linking the Island with East Anglia operated by Flybe partner, Loganair.

Both routes are said to be selling well.
