Weather Seriously Impacts Ronaldsway\'s 2010 Figures
Airport traffic recorded a disappointing drop in the final month of 2010 as the weather seriously disrupted services.
After a bleak month of snow, ice and plummeting temperatures, December's figures took a 14% tumble.
It built on a disappointing November, which was also heavily affected by the weather.
Ronaldsway have said 2010 was in general a very disappointing year, with a succession of unpredictable events to deal with.
The Icelandic volcano and subsequent ash cloud resulted in the biggest drop, with a 23.5% fall in April.
Ronaldsway Director Ann Reynolds has said 2010’s downturn can almost entirely be attributed to combined weather and ash impacts.
