The Island's Airport has 'honoured a hero' by escorting a 103-year-old veteran as he travels from Manx Shores to mark Victory over Japan day.
Ronaldsway says it 'proudly' escorted Burma veteran James Fenton, on his 'poignant' journey from the Island to the National Memorial Arboretum in the UK.
He'll attend commemorations in Birmingham tomorrow.
The airport says his trip is one of 'reflection and gratitude' and has wished Mr Fenton safe travels, while extending its deepest respect and admiration for his 'enduring legacy'.
