The government has issued a warning over cold-callers.
Multiple reports last week were received by the Office of Fair Trading of people attempting to sell garden furniture from a van, but the rogue traders quickly left the Island once authorities caught up with them.
The OFT advises not to buy goods from sellers who call on you without an appointment and to ignore claims such as stating the goods are cheap and the seller is leaving the Island.
You should report any suspicious behaviour to them on 686500, or the police on 631212.
