With the Manx Grand Prix starting this Saturday road users are being reminded to drive with caution.
Hard hitting posters of real crash scenes will be distributed Island wide.
The campaign is called 'stay alert, stay alive' and follows on from the TT roads safety initiative.
Additional officers are being drafted in to the Roads Policing Unit from other parts of the Isle of Man Constabulary to cope with the increases in demands.
The Mountain Road will remain two-way for the duration of the biking event unlike for the TT when the Mountain Road was made one-way due to the high number of visitors on the Island.
