Pulrose Road between the Bowl car park and Peel Road will be closed from 8.30 tonight.
The government said it's for essential infrastructure work and while the area will be closed to cars, it can be used by pedestrians as normal.
The area will reopen no later than 6am on Friday morning.
Mountain Road closed on 68 days last year
