The TT footbridge at St Ninian's crossroads will be removed this weekend.
The Department of Infrastructure says it'll be taken down between 6-9am on Sunday until the start of the next road race season.
If the work has to be postponed, most likely due to weather, there is an alternative date of Sunday September 24.
While the bridge deck is being take down the junction between Bray Hill and Ballaquayle Road/Ballanard Road will be closed to traffic, with diversions in place.
