Owners of tender boats are being given advice after one was salvaged off the Island's coast this week.
Port Erin crews were called out at just before 2.30pm on Monday (May 24) after reports of an upturned dinghy between Port Erin and Fleshwick Bay - when teams arrived they discovered the tender had no-one on board and it was then deflated and stowed on the lifeboat.
Since then, RNLI personnel are asking anyone who owns a tender to make sure they put the name of the main boat on it so they know who it belongs to.
Officials are also reminding people should they see anyone in difficulty to call 999 or 112 and ask for the Coastguard.
