Police say their school education officers have noticed a sharp rise in the abuse of AI by students on the Island.
In a post on social media, officers explain they've seen the technology used to bully or ridicule other youngsters with offensive images.
They warn it can be a criminal offence under the Sexual Offences and Obscene Publications Act to use AI to create inappropriate or sexualised images of people.
The police go on to say they've been working with schools to give talks about the misuse of AI and its consequences, advising parents to talk with their children.
