The tuition fee rise in England could cost the Isle of Man Government over £200,000.
Douglas North MHK David Ashford asked at Tynwald's sitting on Tuesday what impact the rise across the pond would have on the education department's budget.
Minister for Education, Sport and Culture Daphne Caine said that the increase will cost her department £213,750.
But she hasn't committed to covering the cost:
