A motorcyclist was taken to hospital following a crash at the Blackboards yesterday evening.
Firefighters from Castletown and Malew were called to the scene at around 5.50pm on Friday to reports a motorcycle had come off the road in the area.
Once at the scene, the Incident Commander discovered the rider and bike down a grass verge - fire crews then worked with police and paramedics to get the casualty to a nearby ambulance.
The patient was then transferred to hospital - firefighters were at the scene for around 20 minutes.
