Work Progressing on Richmond Hill, Closed Over Weekend
The newly formed Department of Infrastructure is reminding the public that Richmond Hill will be closed this weekend.
Richmond Hill is currently undergoing a road improvement scheme and the closure over the weekend is for the installation of traffic lights and also to replace vital road markers and cones which have become dislodged due to speeding vehicles hitting them.
It will be closed to through traffic from 9am on Saturday, until midnight on Sunday.
The traffic lights that are being put in will then be there for the next 6 weeks as work progresses.
Once the road has reopened to through traffic both the Police and the Department are reminding motorists to stick within the 30mph speed limit as speeding drivers pose a threat to the on site workers.
During the weekend closure access will still be maintained for residents and Emergency vehicles.
