A local charity's asking people to commemorate those who've overdosed on drugs this weekend.
Motiv8, which helps drug users, is marking International Overdose Awareness Day this Saturday - September is also Recovery Awareness Month.
It's asking people to buy and wear purple ribbons to mark the event.
Staff will be in a pop up stand in Strand Street on Saturday, and money raised goes towards on-Island counselling support.
