Potential Developers Have Week to Re-Think Proposals
In a reversal on last week’s announcement that the Summerland site is to go on the property market for sale, the Department of Community, Culture and Leisure has now agreed to consider a revised bid from a developer.
Springham Limited in the past had their application turned down but following another meeting with Minister David Cretney things could potentially be back on track.
The initial proposal incorporated a swimming pool facility and health spa into the development, Minister Cretney outlined that they would want to see more targeting the younger generation if they were to take the bid to the next level.
Springham now have a week to come up with ways that they can take on board these suggestions.
