The top ten words used in childrens short stories on the Isle of Man and Channel Islands has been revealed.
The word 'megalodon' was the most popular in short stories submitted to a national 500 words competition.
The words 'wafer', 'leopards' and 'shapeshifter' also made the top ten list.
It was revealed in a report published by Oxford University Press.
