The ‘reuse area’ at the Southern Civic Amenity Site will stay closed until it can be made safe for the public and when structural damage is repaired.
According to the board which manages the site, work can’t begin until an engineer’s report has been submitted.
The announcement was made this week (February 11).
The board says it has ‘every intention of reopening the area’ when it’s been made safe and have thanked the public for their patience.
