The public is being warned of a scammer claiming to be from the Police.
In a post on social media earlier this week, officers say a man from outside the Island is ringing locals and saying he works for the Constabulary.
They added in the call the scammer tries to obtain personal details.
Peopple are being warned not to fall for the scam, and to tell any elderly relatives who are not on social media.
