Police are warning of another telephone scam that is targeting residents.
Authorities have received reports of calls from people claiming to be Manx Telecom employees - who claim additional costs have been incurred on the potential victims bill which need to be paid or their phone service will be suspended.
This scam then prompts the bill payer to provide credit card details.
Both the constabulary and Manx Telecom say to never give out card details over the phone in this manner - MT has added it would never contact its customers in this way.
