Ronaldsway Met Office says the wintry weather is a 'temporary nuisance' but there's no need to panic.
The Island is under an amber weather warning until this afternoon - however it's unlikely any snow will settle on lower ground with sleet and hail more likely.
Forecaster Adrian Cowin says the Mountain Road is in the most danger of being closed as it's high up and temperatures are likely to be below freezing:
