An Island resident is calling for emergency phones to be installed on Marine Drive.
Laura Eckersley was involved in a dramatic rescue last week after her dog went over a 150ft cliff.
Her partner then went down to rescue the animal but got stuck in the process.
This sparked an operation from emergency services to rescue the duo who did come away uninjured.
Laura had to drive away from the scene to contact authorities and has now launched a petition calling for the DOI to put emergency phones in place there so others don't find themselves in a similar situation.
So far, the petition has gathered over 150 signatures - a link to it is available here.
