Reshuffle Plans Gets Backing in Tynwald
Tynwald have given backing to the Chief Minister’s Government reshuffle plans heralding a new era for Manx Politics.
As was laid out in the plans the entire Departmental infrastructure is to get a make over with seven new Departments to be created, Home Affairs and Education are the only two to remain.
Most prominent of all of the new Department’s is Economic Development, with the principal responsibility of formulating and enticing new revenue streams to the Island.
The final figure of those in favour stood at 28 – 4, some MHK’s argued that a decision of it’s magnitude should be deferred until a proper costing exercise has been carried out.
The changes will come into force from April 1st.
