Rescue efforts after car ends up on roof

A woman had to be rescued from her car this morning after a crash in Peel.

The single vehicle crash happened at 10.45am on the Poortown Road - she was helped to safety by police who arrived on the scene.

Fire crews from Peel and Douglas gave first aid to the driver who was suffering from shock and complaining of a minor shoulder injury.

The car - which was on its roof - was made safe and recovered shortly afterwards.
