The report into the ever-increasing price of petrol on the Island is out today.
The Island has seen a sharp rise in fuel costs recently. Members of the public complained about this and this probed the report.
The Office of Fair trading have been asked to carry out the investigation into the reasons for the increases.
It’s hoped the outcome of the report will bring some clarification as to why the Island has traditionally always had much higher prices for fuel compared to the UK.
The report will be made public at Midday. We spoke to Paul Gelling from the Office of Fair Trading to get an early indication as to why the prices are so steep. (audio above)
