The Island's minimum wage is lagging more than 30 per cent behind the government's living wage, according to new statistics.
The fourth Manx Living Wage Report, published by the Cabinet Office, says the amount needed to give people basic opportunities and choices to participate in society stands at £10.87 an hour.
Currently, the legally enforceable minimum wage is £8.25 per hour for over-18s.
The voluntary living wage would see employees earning £413 a week, or £21,487 a year, before tax.
