The Department of Infrastructure says it wants to repave an area in Douglas town centre to match the rest of the main shopping street.
In a planning application, the department has asked for permission to lay new granite paving along Marina Road.
In its application, the organisation says the new blocks would match those in Strand Street.
The proposals affect a section of the street outside Sam Webb's pub.
