Remand for photographer caught with indecent images of children

An amateur photographer will spend Christmas behind bars after admitting downloading more than 18,000 indecent images of children.

66-year-old Vincent Campbell, of Hope Street in Douglas, surrendered his bail at Douglas Courthouse on Tuesday.

Campbell had previously admitted four offences of possessing the images - police found them after searching his home on November 26th.

He's due to be sentenced before the Court of General Gaol Delivery and has been remanded at the Isle of Man Prison until January 28th.
