A recycling boss has been hit in the pocket after one of his vehicles was caught with an out of date tax disc.
53-year- old Patrick David Lewis, who is a co-director of Buck Confidential, appeared at Douglas Courthouse yesterday.
He admitted allowing a member of staff to drive the vehicle without road tax on April 25.
Police spotted the wagon as it was parked on Derby Road in Ramsey.
Officers noticed the tax had run out in January 2015.
Representing himself in court, Lewis told magistrates it was a "total misunderstanding", adding "I don't make a habit of it".
Magistrates fined him £600 and also ordered him to pay court costs of £50.
