With less than a month to go until the TT, last years record breaker Ian Hutchinson has today confirmed he won't be able to compete.
The 31 year old Yorkshire Biker smashed all records by winning all 5 races at last years TT - something that has never before been achieved.
He's out of the races this year due to injury. He suffered a compound fracture to the tibia and fibula in his left leg while racing at Silverstone last September.
He has undergone 16 operations and skin grafts.
The biker said; 'Today will go down in the history of my career as the saddest day yet, after an incredible amount of hard work from myself and my whole medical team my surgeon has informed me there is too much risk of causing more damage to my leg if I race at the TT so thats the end of that.'
