A recent survey of serving Police officer's pay on Island is a 'cause for serious concern.'
That's according to both the Police Federation and the Department of Home Affairs, in a statement published this week.
It comes following a public survey by the Police Federation, which highlighted 89% of respondents didn't feel the Constabulary offer good pay and conditions.
Further, 84% said they worry about their financial future.
In their statement, both the department and federation have described Police as a 'vital part of of our community.'
They've committed to 'work together to find a solution and members have agreed to form a working party to bring back options and solutions to address the highlighted issues.'
