Fire crews spent over 6 hours tackling a blaze in Laxey on Tuesday.
Waste material was being burnt on Old Laxey Hill, which got out of control due to the wind increasing.
Fire fighters were faced with an extremely tough challenge as it was on a cliff and the fire was spreading rapidly.
The trams were delayed as a result of the fire, as water had to be drawn from a nearby hydrant, which affected the tramlines.
Fire crews are urging members of the public to ensure large amounts of waste are not set on fire as it causes extreme danger and difficulty to the fire crews.
