Tim Cowin has been appointed Town Clerk and Chief Executive for Ramsey Town Commissioners.
It follows the retirement of Peter Whiteway who held the position since 2002.
Chairman of Ramsey Town Commissioners, Alby Oldham has thanked Mr Whiteway for the 'diligent work' he has undertaken and wished him a happy retirement.
Mr Cowin says he's 'delighted' to take up the role in a town he both loves and grew up in.
