The new commander of a navy minesweeper has been welcomed to the town her vessel is named after.
Ramsey commissioners and the Island's Royal Naval Association hosted a reception welcoming the new commander of HMS Ramsey.
Lieutenant-Commander Louise Ray, commanding officer of the First Mines Countermeasures Squadron Crew 4, recently assumed command of the vessel.
Her ship is affiliated to Ramsey and was given Freedom of Entry to the town in 2010.
Lieutenant-Commander Ray and her crew were recently deployed to the Baltic as part of a NATO task force.
Returning to Ramsey, she was presented with framed photographs of earlier ships to bear the name.
Her reception also saw the rededication of the ensign from HMS Ramsey that was presented to the town in 1945.
The historic flag is mounted in the town hall .
