Lezayre Road will re-open later today after resurfacing works finished ahead of schedule.
Its junction with Bircham Avenue will open at 2pm - it was due to remain closed until next week.
That junction has been completely resurfaced, along with a one-kilometre stretch between Bircham Avenue and Gardner's Lane.
The DOI is thanking residents, schools and businesses for their patience during the closure.
