A piece of maritime history has finally gone on display at Ramsey Lifeboat Station.
The ship’s bell from the Steam Trawler Merisia, which sank with the loss of 12 crew in 1940, was discovered in 2011 by RNLI crew members Michelle Stewardson and Andy Walton.
It was recovered from the wreckage in Bulgham Bay off the Island's east coast.
But changes to the station's layout to accommodate the new Shannon lifeboat meant it was never able to be displayed, until Coxswain Mark crafted a mount for it using reycled decking from the Queen’s Pier.
