Ramsey commissioners say maroons will fire next month as the town holds its remembrance events.
The local authority says its Civic Service of Remembrance will be held at the War Memorial on Sunday, November 9.
People are being asked to gather from 10.30am, and maroons will sound at the beginning and end of a two-minute silence starting at 11am.
They'll sound again at 11am on Tuesday, November 11 to mark the anniversary of the end of world War I.
