Town rates in Ramsey have increased by 9.6 per cent for the next financial year to 399 pence in the pound.
Ramsey Commissioners says this only affects the town rate, which is less than half of the annual rates bill.
Officials added it reflects commitment to continued investment in the town while meeting increased costs imposed by central government.
Chairman, Andy Cowie, said commissioners 'laboured long and hard' over the budget process to make sure each expense and project delivered value for ratepayers.
