Ramsey men sent to prison for heroin offences

Two men received lengthy prison sentences yesterday for importing and possessing heroin with intent to supply.

32 year old Scott Carbutt, and 36 year old David Bonnar were arrested at Ronaldsway Airport in October; £22,600 of the class A substance was seized.

Both men come from Ramsey.

Mr Bonnar was sentenced to seven and a half years imprisonment, and Mr Carbutt received a sentence of six years and ten months.

The Pro Active Team has reiterated that bringing drugs into the Island is a very serious offence, with these sentences reflecting that.
