A Ramsey man’s due to appear in court again next month over allegations of drug-dealing
Barry Woods of Park Ollay appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse via a live videolink from the Isle of Man Prison.
The 42 year old admitted possessing cocaine with intent to supply it, but denies attempting to possess cannabis with intent to supply it and two counts of producing the class B drug.
Prosecutor Rebecca Cubbon told the hearing police raided Woods’ home after intercepting almost three kilos of cannabis addressed to him on April 14.
The cannabis was worth almost £89,000 and inside his home officers found 55 grammes of cocaine worth more than £5,500.
Magistrates declined jurisdiction, saying the case needed to be sent to a Court of General Gaol Delivery.
They remanded Woods in custody to appear in court again on May 20.
