Manx Telecom is supporting a remote working initiative at Ramsey Library during the six week Mountain Road closure.
Free WiFi enabled work spaces will be available to northern residents who want to avoid the slower journey time to Douglas via the coast road.
The closure is in place from Monday 28 February until 15 April.
Manx Telecom will temporarily upgrade the broadband to support additional demand during the closure.
Work spaces will be available at the library between 9am-4:30pm Monday to Thursday, and 9am-4pm on Fridays.
