Rooms in five of the Island's schools have been found to have above average levels of radon, a naturally occurring radioactive gas.
The government reassures there are no immediate health concerns.
It comes following an inspection where 97% of schools and UCM were well within the legal radon limit, with minor issues found in 14 rooms.
These were at Kewaigue, Scoill Vallajeelt, St Johns, St Thomas's Church of England, St Ninian's and UCM.
Staff, students and parents have been informed and minor works will take place before the areas are resurveyed.
Government says the risk in the school environment is low and immediate action is being taken, with affected schools continuing to operate as normal.
