A new commissioner has been elected in Onchan following a by-election in the town yesterday.
David Quirk takes up the post with Onchan District Commissioners edging out Kim Corlett who was also in the running for the position.
Mr Quirk secured 901 votes whilst Ms Corlett took 842 with a 25 per cent turnout from voters on the day.
Mr Quirk will serve in his new role until May 1 next year.
