The decision to create a four-day bank holiday weekend in August will be discussed by the House of Keys tomorrow.
Douglas East MHK Clare Barber will ask Treasury Minister, Alf Cannan MHK, what economic impact assessment was carried out to choose having a four-day break instead of two separate three-day bank holiday weekends.
It comes after government moved the traditional Senior Race Day bank holiday - previously planned for June 12 - to August 28 to celebrate the efforts of the Islands key workers with hopes people will be able to mark the occasion better by that date.
Meanwhile, the subject will be discussed at the next House of Keys sitting which will take place virtually on Friday from 2.30pm.
