Concerns over children being home-schooled have led to questions in Tynwald this month.
A special August order paper with questions for written answers has a number of queries about the issue.
One of those asking for details from Education Minister Graham Cregeen is Speaker of the House of Keys Juan Watterson.
He says he's concerned the area's very lightly regulated:
