Concerns over the financing of the proposed Cair Vie windfarm were raised yesterday in the House of Keys.
Treasury Minister Alex Allinson told members that the Treasury and Council of Ministers had approved £3.768 million for the project’s planning process, with £2.883 million spent as of March 2025.
However, Douglas Central MHK Chris Thomas challenged the figures, stating that Tynwald had only approved £3.3 million for the project in February.
Dr Allinson said he would 'go away and check' the confirmed figures, adding future funding decisions would be made once the planning process is complete:
