The restoration of the Queen's Pier has always been a community project.
That's according to Captain Stuart McKenzie MBE, President of the Restoration Trust.
The charity was established in 2016, and has been working to restore the site since then, currently working on its second phase.
He says that without the public, there wouldn't be any works happening at all:
