Police say they will increase patrols around a Douglas quarry after reports of things being thrown into it.
Over a number of weeks items - including a wooden bench - have been discarded into the Summerhill Glen site which is located on Summerhill Grove.
Officers say it's an active work place with workers on-site at all hours of the day and throwing items from a great height could cause serious harm to those below.
They say anyone caught will be dealt with 'robustly'.
