A quarry in the south of the Island has applied for planning permission to install new equipment that would make it more productive.
Manx Rock says it wants a mineral washing plant at Billown Quarry on Foxdale Road in Ballasalla.
In its application, it says currently Limestone that's covered in clay and dirt is considered waste.
But it says the new machinery would clean the stone and allow it to be sold.
