From September, QEII High School students will start and finish school earlier.
It comes following a consultation about changes to school day timings, with headteacher Charlotte Clarke issuing a letter to parents with the details.
It means the school day will start at 8:45am and finish at 3:15pm, with students also having a reduced lunch from 12:45-1:35pm.
Mrs Clarke says the reason for the changes are to give extra time at the end of the day for enrichment clubs and give more opportunities for staff to engage in Continued Professional Development after school.
